Beyond a blog
After having noticed a short list of “simple” facts I’ve took the decision to remake my “blog” site:
Social networks sites (SN) are gaining a tremendous momentum and effective usage, more they provide good tools/API that enable you to share and mix content.
It’s easy to follow other interesting people on SN rather than on personal (blog) site.
Any “feature” is almost available as a 3rd party service: search, retweet, RSS feed, comments, and so on.
So, from now on my “blog” is a sort of aggregator from multiple sources: twitter, tumblr, old posts. Technically speaking it’s based on Jekyll and spiced with some trick to make my life easier (of course I’ll not have to follow WordPress upgrade/patches announcements…).
