Software producibility in Defense
The SEI Blog recently published this interesting post about software producibility in Defense.
For all the (interesting) findings and details I suggest to read the whole post; here the main keypoints I’ve found worth mentioning:
- organizational processes and well established measurement favor adoption of iterative and incremental development models.
- those “models” help to mitigate engineering risks
- in the presence of strong quality attributes, architecture should be dominated by these rather than - as usual - by functionalities
- evaluation and testing capabilities should be considered “strategic”, especially for large-and-complex systems
